Compositions not found in open databases

12 of 41 songs — Societies pay songwriters per registered work. A song with no work registered anywhere has nothing for its plays to be matched to — that money sits unidentified until it is claimed or shared out to others.

First, check

Is it really missing, or just not in open data?

We read open music databases. Your society may already have these songs registered correctly — check there before changing anything.

If it is missing: how to fix it

Register the composition

Check with your own society whether the song is registered as a work, with every writer and their split.
If it is not, register it (title, writers, splits, IPI numbers) or ask your publisher or administrator to do it.
Ask for the ISWC once it is assigned and add it to your distributor's metadata.
In countries where you have no sub-publisher, check the work reached the local society; if not, ask your society to send it or claim it there.
Ask each society for back-payment of the periods they still allow you to claim.

Is it really missing?

This comes from public music databases. A song can be registered at your society and still be missing here — open the song to check it at each society, or get the full report and we check them for you.

Want us to retrieve it?

We become the publisher (admin only, you keep your rights): we register every song, fix the splits and claim what is owed, back to the oldest period still open. No upfront fee — a commission on what comes back.
